Jamie Craig is a professional Drum Teacher and Session Musician based in Dorset, UK. He began playing drums aged seven and in his later teen years this started to develop into his main focus.
Growing up Jamie listened to a wide range of different drummers that have a great influence on him and his playing such as: Steve Gadd, Stewart Copeland, John Bonham, Steve Jordan, Carter Beauford and Buddy Rich to name a few.
Jamie studied music throughout his school years as well as at university level where he achieved a BA (Hons) in Music at SSU in 2014. Since finishing his studies at university Jamie works as a professional freelance musician, gigging, teaching, and doing studio work for various artists, bands and producers. He also went to study further taking lessons with
professionals such as Ian Thomas (Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Sting) , Steve White (Paul Weller) and Pete Cater (Pete Cater Big Band).
Jamie has also attended Masterclasses with other professionals including : Dave Weckl (Paul Simon,Chick Corea) Keith Carlock (Toto, Steely Dan) aswell as Craig Blundell and Andy Leask.
Jamie has always had a great passion for music and drumming and enjoys working with other musicians and students who share this passion.
